What is this?

Capacity Planning is the visible planner view for assigning resource counts to project workflow work by date.

Why is it needed?

Planners can maintain one readable grid instead of separately managing commitment headers and daily capacity line records.

How is it used later?

The app stores the commitment header and the date-wise allocation lines in the background. It also compares allocated hours with the workflow stage estimate for capacity visibility and future due date scheduling.

Filling Rules and Accepted Values

Project, Workflow Stage, Department, and Skill Level must be selected from the dropdowns.
Standard Hours, Suggested Resource Count, and Max Resources Per Day are prefilled from Project Category Workloads for reference.
Estimated Hours updates the matching Workflow Stage Planned Hours on upload.
The Workflow Stage must belong to the selected Project.
Department must match the selected Workflow Stage.
Date columns accept whole-number resource counts only.
Blank date cells clear existing allocation lines during upload; enter 0 to keep an explicit zero allocation.
Yellow template columns are editable, blue columns are reference values, and green columns are calculated checks.
Use Row Check and Planner Checks to spot over-estimates, over max/day allocations, and availability conflicts before upload.
Upload creates or updates the commitment and the matching date lines.
Do not rename or remove template column headers.
